Hello! We have an exciting major announcement today:
The extended demo for MY DEAR☆LOVE will release tomorrow! 🥳
We apologize for the delay; development has been slow for the past weeks due to us working more hours for our day jobs, but we are glad to have produced the extended demo as promised. In order to release it as early as possible, we have had to prioritize certain features over others; however, we plan to release a "version 2.2" update in the near future that will include fixes and other changes to the in-game graphics, GUI, and other aspects.
Extended demo features:
- Estimated 1 hour play time. The full version, MY DEAR☆LOVE PLUS+, has an estimated play time of 8-15 hours.
- Meet the male love interest Atsuya and side character Hayato Arihara.
- Stat-raising simulation mode is now playable and is accessible from the title screen.
- Cooking mini game is now playable! You can make curry in the story mode, or make omurice in the mini game mode (accessible from the title screen).
- Visual novel mode that extends to the end of the prologue.
- 1 full colour CG featuring the male love interest Atsuya.
- Save/load feature and general settings menu with a toggle for Main Character portrait.
- Keyboard input is available; please refer to the "Read Me" text file included in the demo file.
- Japanese or English language option available in settings from the title screen only.

We will be transparent here: The development of this extended demo had been especially tough. As written in our campaign page, H9O6 is a small indie studio that is completely self-funded with only two members. We work day jobs and side hustles to fund our creative endeavours, and while operating on such a small scale is both costly and time-consuming, we believe in producing great works without compromising on quality. To do that, and to go even far and beyond, we need a bit of financial support. We are very grateful for the support and feedback we have received so far; it motivates us to do the absolute best we can to create an enjoyable experience for you.
It is both our dream and our goal to turn game development and related creative endeavours into our full-time job, and we have dedicated many hours and have made many sacrifices along the way. We hope this extended demo shows our passion for game-making and our dedication to delivering quality works in a timely fashion.
We will make several updates to our Kickstarter campaignin the next few days, as mentioned in previous updates. Please look forward to it!
